I have been waiting for a shoe like this to drop for a long time. Fantastic fit and soft comfortable without being mushy. Short or long runs equals enjoyable. Don’t pay attention to some less than stellar rating by “YouTube” experts. This shoe is for real runners.
Shopping for some discounted models of carbon-fiber plated shoes, I came across Puma's Deviate Nitro and bought a pair. I've been very pleased with their beautiful combination of a firm protective footbed, rugged outsole, and surprisingly nice bounce from the plate and cushioning without seeming too pillowy. These have become one of my go-to shoes for long runs where I want to feel protected, balanced, and yet also glide with a bit of pace. First Puma shoes I've owned since the 1970s, and I must say, I'm impressed.
