So after trying the Velocity Nitro 4 and having extreme fit issues, I was reluctant to try this shoe. The Velocity Nitro for me was an extremely narrow fit, low overall upper volume and narrow toe box. Loved the midsole feel of that shoe but just couldn’t seem to get the right fit. I wear a size 11 to 11.5 Medium for reference. I ordered 11.5 Medium in the Deviate Nitro 4 and this shoe fits perfect. A bit snug, yes but not so much so that my foot is screaming in agony. Toe box is roomy and upper fits like a glove. Tongue is gusseted, thin, stays out of the way and performs its job fantastic. For me the midsole is smooth, supportive and provides a good balance of cushion and energy return. The carbon composite plate definitely wants to pick up the pace, however feels well planted with slower runs. Highly recommend this shoe
These feel amazing. I'm still getting used to the responsiveness and building up time in them, but so far so good. Looking forward to seeing how they work in a HYROX competition.
