NOTES ON THE LAW RELATING TO THE RETURN OF GOODS
The right to return goods
You may return to us any goods received from us within 40 days and without giving a reason. The 40 day period begins at the earliest at the time when you receive this notification in writing (e.g. in a letter, fax or e-mail), but not, however, prior to receipt of the goods by the customer and not before we have fulfilled our obligations to provide information under the terms of § 312c Para. 2 of the German Civil law Code (BGB) in conjunction with § 1 Paras. 1, 2 and 4 (BGB)- Regulation on the Duty to Provide Information (InfoV), as well as our obligations under § 312e Para. 1 Clause 1 BGB in conjunction with § 3 BGB-InfoV.
You may request that we arrange to collect goods to be returned to us only in the case of goods which cannot be returned by mail or parcel post (e.g. in the case of bulky goods). Such a request must be made in writing. The statutory 40 day period for returning goods will be deemed to have been satisfied if the request to send goods back, and the actual sending of the goods are made in good time.

The Consequences of Returning Goods to Us
In order for the return of goods to us to be an effective legal cancellation of the contract to buy goods offered for sale, both parties must surrender their reciprocal rights to benefit from the contract. We, as the retailer must waive our right to payment for the goods supplied and you the customer must both return the goods to us and, if appropriate, surrender any derived benefits (e.g. usage benefits) in relation to the goods. If the goods returned to us are damaged in any way we are entitled to demand payment of the value of the goods. The right to return damaged goods does not apply to goods which are damaged during the initial inspection of the goods. In such cases the customer is responsible for causing the damage to the goods as is the case when inspecting goods in a shop prior to purchasing them. You may moreover, avoid the need to pay the replacement value of goods delivered to you by refraining from using the goods in an inappropriate manner and by not treating goods which have just been delivered as if they were already your own property and by avoiding all actions which serve to reduce the value of the goods. Obligations to pay for damage to goods must be met within 30 days. This deadline shall begin for you on the date when the goods were sent to you or on the date when you asked for the goods to be taken back by us, and for us with the receipt of the request.
